Shoe Envy
This piece salutes all of us with feet too large or small (wide or narrow, wobbly or tired), wallets too empty, or lives to busy to indulge in the fanciful, sometimes strange, world of modern footwear. The two bare feet seen from a distance are composed of 1/2" square images of wild, wacky, trendy, indulgent shoes. The back of the quilt sports a key to the images and photo credits.
Materials: cotton fabric; polyester batting; monofilament, cotton, and polyester thread.
Techniques: Images printed on fabric; machine pieced and quilted.
